About Our Founder, Anne Stirnemann
Anne has spent her life stitching stories—starting as a child, sewing stuffies from her mom’s fabric scraps, and later earning a BFA in Costume Design and Construction at Webster University.
With experience in sewing, pattern drafting, garment construction, and tailoring, Anne brings a love for making things accessible and fun. Whether you're threading a needle for the first time or refining your skills, she’s passionate about helping others bring their creative visions to life.
In 2016, she founded City Sewing Room, a beloved community sewing space. Now, with City Create House, she’s excited to teach classes and host creative events!
